Our own Mill Panel laboratories are improving our existing products and developing new ones on a continuous basis. Mill Panel is currently presenting a special environmentally-friendly door panel, the AluCork^®. Preparations are also under way for the launch of another unique door panel. Thanks to new developments such as these, Mill Panel will maintain her position at the top of the market for exterior doors for many years to come.

If various performance requirements have to be fulfilled such as fire-resistance and good acoustic or thermal insulation, then the AluCork^® is the right door for you.
The outstanding features of this door are excellent sound insulation, 30 minute fire-resistance to a distance of 122- x 250 cm and 25% improved thermal insulation in comparison to the standard AluPlex^®. The AluCork^® door can be trimmed without limit because it has no styles and rails.

If such performance requirements scarcely apply, or do not apply at all, then the AluPlex^® is an excellent alternative. This door is fire-resistant for 30 minutes to a distance of 93- x 211.5 cm, provided it is mounted in accordance with the instructions supplied.

If the emphasis is on high thermal insulation whereby fire-resistance is not an issue, then AluLight^® is the best choice. This door is also light in weight, and therefore an excellent choice from an occupational health and safety point of view.
For passive-house projects whereby the basic requirement for the homes to be built is low energy consumption, AluPassive^® is the best choice when it comes to sealing the ‘final gap’ in such houses: 93 mm thick, wood-composite edges of aluminium, cork and Okoumé, millable covering sheets of 13 mm Aluplex^®, and 85 mm wide styles and rails.
If glass openings are made in such a door then the type of glass used will not be the lightest. This is why the AluPassive^® has a full-size, 8 mm thick Okoumé sheet at its core in between the two 29.5 mm thick PS layers. This ensures that even glass of 30 kg/m² can be safely and securely mounted in the door. And last but not least: in terms of weight this door is comparable to a 40mm AluPlex^® of the same dimensions. This is good news for many a back!
